Summary:The role of the teacher and the student within the educational context can be visualized as a harmonious and enthusiastic panorama regarding the pedagogical processes of teaching-learning, but there may equally be a dissonant, cold and apathetic scenario. For this reason it is necessary to know and identify how the learning scenarios are experienced and perceived in each case. The goal of this research was to identify and understand the perceptions of the students of the University of the Andes who take basic Physics courses for engineering, by studying the teaching processes in the courses "Physics 1" and "Physics 2". For this qualitative research, information was collected through an open questionnaire that was answered by 183 students from different engineering and science programs in different semesters (first to tenth).
