Description
Summary:This research aims to evaluate the incorporation of principles of collective intelligence in the collaborative learning of sixth grade students in an educational institution. To this end, the study of the pragmatic paradigm was started using a mixed method of concurrent order. This allowed the collection of quantitative and qualitative data that showed students' academic performance and behavior within the groups. Such follow-up was carried out before and after an intervention designed from the beginning of collective animal behavior. The validation of the information in this study was crossed and placed beside the quantitative data and micro-etnographic observations. Given this process, it was found that the applications of the principles of collective intelligence did not allow a significant improvement in the academic performance of the group. However, the development of collaborative learning skills inherent in the applied principles was achieved, resulting in changes in student behavior and optimization of group cohabitation relationships. The final conclusion of this experience leads us to recognize the importance of the development of individual identity, mutual recognition and commitment within the groups, in order to optimize their learning. In addition, it approaches the relationship between the individual and solo assessment present in the current classrooms and the need to devise a truly collective school that prepares students for future challenges.
