Description
Summary:Based on a foundation in the Toulmin Argumentative Model, the objective of this work is to design a classroom project that contributes to the development of numerical thinking from the concept of trigonometric reason, based on argumentation theory. In this way, a classroom project was carried out so that the students of the London School, based on the solution of problems and the use of argumentation to publicize their reasoning in this regard, showed through instruments such as interviews, guides Didactic and audio and video recordings various forms of construction of numerical thinking, referring to trigonometric ratios. The results of this intervention allowed us to show that students can establish connections between their previous knowledge (guarantees) and new knowledge within the framework of a teaching intervention mediated by the need to argue about the solution of mathematical problems (specifically, numerical).
