Summary: | The general objective of this study is to implement a didactic proposal from the perspective of the Theory of the Didactic Situation (TSD), mediated by ICT in increasing the learning of whole numbers with students of seventh grade of secondary school of the I.E. José Manuel Salcedo headquarters Cárdenas del Bolo San Isidro de Palmira Valle. A mixed research method with a descriptive approach was used. The target population was divided into two subgroups in the initial phase: control and experimental. Through qualitative information, the evaluation of previous knowledge about whole numbers and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) was addressed. Finding that students are familiar with ICT, particularly with social networks, recreation and entertainment sites (80%), but on websites for academic use, only 18% report knowing these resources. 29% report knowing collaborative work tools, while 84% say they know search engines. In the diagnostic phase of mathematical knowledge, different topics were addressed. Both the control and experimental groups exhibited shortcomings and ignorance of the topics, they exposed a high number of incorrect answers when testing. Difficulty was found in understanding the problems formulated through everyday situations. In the last phase of the investigation for issues derived from the Covid-19 pandemic that forced mandatory isolation and under the institution's guidelines, virtual education was implemented for all students. Connectivity problems affect students' attendance at virtual class sessions, only 5% of students participated in all scheduled sessions. |
