Two-phase kinetic model for epoxidation of soybean oil
A two-phase kinetic model was implemented for analyzing conventional epoxidation, using a percarboxylic acid gene- rated in situ through adding hydrogen peroxide in a two-phase system having a homogeneous catalyst. Data was adjusted using the least square method (0.88 correlation coefficient). The s...

Summary: | A two-phase kinetic model was implemented for analyzing conventional epoxidation, using a percarboxylic acid gene- rated in situ through adding hydrogen peroxide in a two-phase system having a homogeneous catalyst. Data was adjusted using the least square method (0.88 correlation coefficient). The simulation closely predicted oxirane oxygen content values, especially during the first stage of reaction and deviation at the end of epoxidation due, possibly, to different degradation reactions. |
