To supply natural gas to industries or homes must be considered preliminary stages for conditioning the fluid in order to maintain a safe operation. Within the value chain are considered natural gas transmission and distribution operations
which seek the mass use of this fluid by measuring and regulating stations and distribution networks. These stations are designed and used to condition the gas pressure to safe values and to control the volume delivered
for contractual purposes
between the carrier and the distributor or the end user
which can be an industrial customer. To ensure the above is necessary to know and understand each of the unit operations of the station and know the functions of each equipment and instrument involved. This paper aims to develop a clear methodology for the design of a regulation station and gas measurement
based on national and international standards to ensure continued service delivery
fluid quality and safety of the station and areas nearby. Each of the operations will be detailed along with the teams involved
seeking to show the different technologies available in the market as well as the design and selection criteria.
