The cloud computing represents a paradigm shift in computing towards a model of providing multiple services on shared hardware
as well as a shift represented in the displacement of the computing tasks to different user end devices equipment
this model is based on the use of virtualization for efficient use of hardware resources with which has a data center. This in academic environments and infrastructure constraints on the amount of resources at their disposal
makes it necessary to find ways to allow use the unused hardware capacity for the benefit of members of these environments
it is there where cloud computing allows efficient use of this idle capacity. In the present research work it presents construction and subsequent implementation of a cloud computing prototype that seeks to serve the School of Systems Engineering of the Universidad Industrial de Santander
using the cloud computing model known as IaaS or Infrastructure as a Service
similarly
a high availability model for web applications
ensuring high availability service and redundancy data with health software monitor that allows you to see the health of servers at any time. It is important to note that all software used in the above process is open source
even thoug the existence of proprietary software that has the same functionality.
