The market for oil and gas industry
has a variable and unpredictable behavior; it is influenced by political sectors worldwide and implies constant challenges for the companies involved. The aim of this document is to set out a proposed business model for the company PROCORR
a Colombian company specialized engineering services through the implementation of strategic planning methodologies
business-oriented medium-term sustainability. An assessment of the financial and strategic status of the company in the last three years was conducted; the results show failures in the management of resources that impede obtaining profitability in the provision of services as their main value proposition
including: design
construction
inspection and maintenance of cathodic protection systems against corrosion phenomena. The identification of strategic units and value chain analysis as a strategic capability allowed the definition of competitive advantages in terms of price and targeting of the company to the pursuit of business goals
considering the organizational structure and management of human talent. As a result of this study an action plan for the implementation of the strategic alternatives was developed and prioritization was done by defining the order of implementation of these. At the end of this document
some emerging research areas for the future were identified.
