The area of interest for this project is located in northeastern Colombia
Llanos Orientales basin
corresponding to structural domain of the Meta. This project seeks to validate the main structural traps from areas converted to depth
in addition to analyzing the structures and behavior of these through a 3D structural model. From the methodology applied time-depth conversion
which involved the borehole seismic calibration was performed through the generation of synthetic seismogram. The seismic interpretation was conducted at 3 horizons
two for the Cretaceous
corresponding to the geological formation Guadalupe Mass and K1 Superior
Geological formation Guadalupe Superior operational unit K2 and one for the Paleogene T2 belonging to the Geological formation San Fernando
along with the interpretation the main fault and satellites with the help of seismic attributes in time
modeled later. In addition
the generation of a calibrated velocity model from seismic velocity and well for the study area. Finally
as a contribution to this research project three structural maps corresponding to the tops of the aforementioned units
a structural 3D model in depth consistent with a structural analysis which is waiting to be of great help for future studies were generated. It comes with a better tool for making decisions about future wells that will be drilled in the field.
