This research had as its main objective: identify the type of recognition for the victims around the problem of pollution by weapons in the department of Santander; according to the theory Axel Honnet. Under a qualitative approach

snow ball sampling and application of semi-structured interviews. The organization and analysis of the data was carried out according to each of the three areas that posed the theory: individual
legal and social; these constituted the dimensions of the phenomenon. and the main categories of analysis. In turn
addressing the issues highlighted from the differentiator and integrator approach comprising the CPA. The main findings showed that the investigative process were: the body is the main element of impact against an accident; also the ways of relating and self perceived are distorted; the struggle for recognition is an unfinished task of the State; and scenarios of social and cultural development are very significant spaces. The research is established as a contribution from Social Work knowledge and analysis of social phenomena
based on social justice as an ethical principle of the profession. .
