description Este proyecto es una investigación que pretende ilustrar a la comunidad estudiantil sobre los orígenes y el desarrollo que tuvieron los géneros afroantillanos hasta convertirse en el género llamado Salsa, cuyas conclusiones se presentarán a través de un concierto didáctico que ayudará a entender las similitudes, diferencias y aportes musicales de cada uno de estos, como lo son la creación de los patrones rítmicos de la clave de son y clave de rumba, la importancia de escribir música Salsa en torno a la clave, hasta la consolidación de la Salsa en los años setenta. Para cumplir con los objetivos de este proyecto, se inició la investigación con enfoque en los elementos culturales, folclóricos y musicales relacionados con el género, de los cuales se resaltan los formatos instrumentales básicos con los que se interpretan algunos de los géneros que tuvieron popularidad e hicieron parte del sincretismo musical entre el continente africano y europeo con las Antillas, mostrando el desarrollo a lo largo de los años junto con el contexto histórico vivido en el momento. Para éste proyecto se realizaron transcripciones de algunas versiones de compositores e intérpretes reconocidos tales como: Moisés Simons, Dámaso Pérez Prado, Richard Egües, Eduardo Davidson y Pete Rodríguez.
