The objective of the proposed project is to analyze the behavior of vehicular traffic from the point of view of the ability of the system from "Three Corners" to toll "Los Santos"; this is due to the collection of information on the predominant type of vehicle and its behavior in the road system; also analyze the elements of the existing road profile and assess vehicular traffic behavior qualitatively; through traffic counts at certain strategic points such that information on the number of vehicles passing in a weekly period is obtained and thus calculate the annual average daily traffic and based on this make a future projection
thereby determining the road capacity and service levels that present making a comparison between the Colombian operating capacity and service levels for two-lane highways and American standards HCM 1994 HCM 2000
in order to make an estimate of the official technical classification of the road section taking into account the parameters established in the regulations for roads. And based on your study
determine if the section is suitable for the present traffic
and otherwise specify solutions stretch of road improvements.
