Zimbra Collaboration Open Source Edition version 8.6 was chosen as the email management software. In its configuration parameters it is emphasized in security sections where rules were applied to diminish the risk of infection by viruses on the client computers and the selection of communication means with encrypted data to protect the integrity of the information. The implementation of this project was tested in a real environment with satisfactory results for high availability as well as reception reduction for messages which carry possible threats to the equipment.
