The main objective of this work degree of specialization in university teaching is to design a pedagogical approach focused on conducting a theoretical and practical workshop
consisting of four class sessions
in order to guide students of nursing degree at Universidad Industrial de Santander (Bucaramanga
Colombia) on the proper administration of medications. To do this
it has been established the following theoretical
conceptual and methodological steps: First
to establish what has been teaching processes implemented by teachers and the difficulties associated with the administration of drugs which have submitted nursing degree students at Universidad Industrial de Santander; Second
to determine the educational activities of teachers to errors in administering medication by the student; and
finally
to identify the difficulties that occur most often students career in nursing medication administration. Given this
and as a step followed
it has developed a methodological process based on the critical reading of specialized literature on the subject
published both in Colombia and in another Latin American countries
in order to find the most appropriate way of carry the theoretical and practical workshop
the formulation of the teaching unit and
finally
of the class sessions
in which it seeks to meet the objectives.
