Alternativas De Igual Servicio.
The growing demand for energy in the world and the depletion of conventional resources
have forced oil producers to venture into the exploration and exploitation of unconventional resources
which generate potential opportunities of supply but require a higher degree of difficulty operation given the conditions of permeability of the rock
which requires techniques such as hydraulic fracturing for extraction
whose main inputs are water and proppant
which generate supply challenges that directly impact the time and cost of completion from the well. Whereas stated above
this paper seeks to evaluate three alternative supply proppant into a well in an unconventional reservoir
in order to determine the lowest cost. Supply alternatives raised are: buy a Technical Service Company (TSC)
buy from an intermediary in Colombia and buy the manufacturer in China. The estimated cost of each of the alternatives was performed using Monte Carlo simulation. Considering the assumptions and conditions given
the results indicate that the best alternative for the supply of proppants to the well
is the alternative of direct imports by the operating company.
