This work is justified in the need to be able to demonstrate that so much relation and affectation has the poverty in the terms of food security for the inhabitants of the city of Bucaramanga
Considering that the city is well in terms of food security
according to studies conducted decades ago. It is based on the theoretical contribution of Amartya Sen
with its focus on income and the capacities of individuals
with the results of the national survey of the nutritional situation in Colombia (ENSIN). In the course of the research
we will show how the rights of people can be violated so that they cant access food
as well as how the income level of individuals is affected by factors specific to each of them (sex
Age
disability). On the other hand
the capacity to obtain food is also conditioned by these factors
apart from external factors or that can not be controlled (natural disasters
economic
political and social situation). It must be taken into account that food security focuses on the availability
stability
access and use of food upon reaching people
where they are determined by their purchasing power and the price of products
in addition to their capabilities For the obtaining of these
capacities that in turn are indispensable for a healthy life and which are not possible to develop without a balanced and nutritious feeding. Thus
in this way we analyze the scope of access to food with the possibilities that individuals have to obtain from them.
