JAC INGENIRÍA implements a quality management system that has a planning process to improve their projects
but some of these projects have not obtained the expected earnings. This is due to cost overruns in transport
staff
equipment and materials; which area a result of inadequate planning processes and procedures conducted during the development of projects. That is why this paper has as main objective to improve the planning process of this company that provides services to the petrochemical sector; applying best practices in project management and aligning its integrated management system. To do this
we take into account the methodology proposed in the fundamentals of the PMBOK®
5th Edition Guide. As a result
an analysis of the company that makes clear the need to improve the planning process. To do this
a methodology of 26 sub processes is proposed
that will allow JAC ENGINEERING to determine the baseline in scope
time and cost of their projects; and in turn assess the feasibility of bidding or not particular call. Similarly
implementation is facilitated by designing formats adjusted to the proposed methodology. Finally
an analysis of the investment is made and the economic feasibility of implementing this proposal for improvement within the company is ratified.
