Factor De Potencia
This paper aims to study the effect that voltage distortion has on current distortion. The study is conducted around the sensitivity that presents a sample of 15 appliances to variations in the supply voltage. The sensitivity is measured by comparison of rates as harmonic current distortion THDi
attenuation factor
aggregation factor
RMS current
and magnitude and phase of the harmonic spectrum of appliance. For the execution of the study
different sceneries were simulate by a programmable source Chroma 61511 and experimentally measurements were taken at a sample loads by a network analyzer Dranetz PowerVisa. A several test were performed on each appliance in which the signal power
distance to the point of common coupling and voltage amplitude. The results of the analysis carried out 1575 individual test show that the deed an appliance with a distorted signal voltage
Flat-Top
creates less distortion in the current than the distortion creates when power the same appliance with a sinusoidal signal
the opposite happens with the Pointed-Top signal which produces more distortion. Otherwise happens when an appliance is supplied with a Pointed-Top signal causes distortion of current is the largest. Besides
it was observed that the appliances are more sensitive to changes in the length of the branch circuit.
