This paper shows the development of the evaluation and optimization of the maintenance plan of equipment that make up the system producing oil wells of the development and production management of Piedemonte of the Colombian Petroleum Company S.A. The optimization of the maintenance plan is in response to the need to minimize impacts on production
the overuse of man hours and the high cost of spare parts caused by the unavailability of the wells. The main objective is to make an optimal maintenance plan at reasonable cost
which will ensure the assets availability and reliability. The development of the methodology is supported by technical information systems
equipment
and experience of the staff that operates and maintain Cupiagua wells field. These are essential at each stage of the application of the methodology
primarily for identifying failure modes. Once developed
the methodology optimizes maintenance activities
eliminating the plan tasks that do not create value. The result of the optimization is implemented in the CMMS SAP® system; but should be a dynamic maintenance plan looking for continuous improvement that will increase the effectiveness. It must be supported by management of the field and the constant commitment by the maintenance staff.
