This work presents the study of possible factors driving slope failure located at Km 22 on the road from Bucaramanga to Tona
based on climatic
topographical
seismic
geological and geotechnical conditions in the area. The study consisted in the description geological
morphological and climatic of the area
and the slope geomechanical characterization performed with laboratory tests; followed by an analysis of rainfall events and earthquakes in reference to the date on which it is assumed occurred slipping finally modeling was performed on the Slope / w software
including the surface most likely failure according to the type of submitted movement
the static
dynamic and total saturation situations
the models were analyzed precondition slip and the current status is modeled. As a result earthquake models and total saturation correspond to the most critical situation
it was concluded that the water absorbed product of heavy rains in the winter 2010-2011 were the cause of the failure and to prevent future landslides under the same effect
mitigation measures
including revegetation
channel runoff and the slope terracear proposed. 3
