This paper tries to show the great opportunity that exists to manage parts inventories Proalco Bekaert
through reliability tools such as RCS (Parts based on reliability) and RCM (Reliability-Based Maintenance). Actual data have been taken from the current situation of the results of maintenance and inventory costs in order to justify an investment in training to implement a strategy to reduce warehouse inventory levels. The trend of inventories of spare parts is downward
while in Proalco you can see a trend in the opposite direction that affects the flow of capital. During the development of the monograph they could find other factors that affect the state of maintenance parts and supplies that are in the store. Many of them are poorly stored and are useless
creating the need to implement a campaign selection of spare parts immediately
as well as the clearly what is really needed to operate with the highest possible availability identified. This is a sign of the power of technical reliability regardless of the age of machines or technology companies in general
for the management of available resources generating value in each process. This monograph is intended to illustrate and be a guide so you can have a basis for consultation in the implementation of the model.2
