Some years ago mobility in the city of Bucaramanga has been hit with substantial increases in travel times. One way to solve the problems presented in the mobility of cities of the population density of Bucaramanga is to implement partial low-cost solutions that help relieve congestion and speed up travel times for users who want to move from one place to another city. In this work we proceed to study the delays generated by the flip turns left
for both vehicles is done
and for those who want to go straight but are affected by this maneuver. 57 intersections where the left turn is presented and found that 5 of them critical congestion is generated during rush hour were analyzed. For these intersections it found that vehicles wishing to make left turn have a delay of up to 43 seconds while users who do not make a turn
but are affected by the twists of other vehicles the delay can be up to about 79 seconds. Including these figures in a significant traffic flow can be seen as this phenomenon drastically it affects travel time in the urban area of the city of Bucaramanga and therefore the appropriate approach to this problem solutions needed.
