RESUMEN: Este artículo de revisión presenta un estado del arte de las investigaciones que desde el campo de la historia de la educación y la pedagogía se han ocupado de la historia de la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales en la escuela. Metodológicamente se recurrió a la lectura temática para analizar los debates que se han venido dando desde 1991 hasta 2019 en torno a la historia de la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales, en el marco de las relaciones que se tejen entre la escuela y la apropiación del conocimiento científico. En los resultados se evidencia la consolidación de la historia de la ciencia y la historia de la educación en ciencias como corrientes históricas que se han ocupado de la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales. Se concluye que la historia de la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales ha sido invisibilizada, precarizada y fragmentada por parte de la historia de las ciencias. |

Methodologically, thematic reading was used to analyze the debates that have been taking place from 1991 to 2019 around the history of the teaching of the natural sciences, within the framework of the relationships that are woven between school and the appropriation of scientific knowledge. Among the results is evidence the consolidation of the history of science and the history of science education as historical currents that have occupied the teaching of the natural sciences.
