Description
Summary:This project is part of a qualitative research and seeks to propose a new strategy to optimize the reading levels of first grade students of the Santa María Goretti High school of the city of Montería; As regards the development of phonological awareness, as a pedagogical tool in the reading process. To do this, a series of workshops were held with activities focused on phonological awareness indicators, based on the identification, segmentation and articulation of language sounds. Among the phases that were taken into account for the development of this research, the application of a diagnostic test is highlighted with the intention of identifying the level of phonological awareness of the students, and from that, continue with the development of the workshops. During the activities, an intermediate test was carried out that allowed us to infer about the final results to be achieved in the study, since through it an improvement in reading was identified. Finally, the final results are presented, which indicate the significant incidence of phonological awareness in the process of acquiring the written code.
