Summary:The present research analyzed the narratives about parental relationships, with peers and life plans of a group of Emberá Dobida adolescents who dropped out of the Isleta agricultural educational institution in the municipality of Riosucio Chocó. The methodology used was qualitative and narrative design. The participants were four (4) Emberá Dobida adolescents, whose ages ranged from 12 to 16 years and who were students who had left the indigenous agricultural educational institution of Isleta in the municipality of Riosucio Chocó. The technique chosen to collect the information was the free or unstructured interview and inductive categorization was used for its analysis. The results allowed us to explore the experiences, school dropout and expectations they had during this event. Likewise, the influence of family and peers
