Eficacia del gel termosensible de Pluronic F-127 a base de una matriz vegetal (papaya) – papaína y L-arginina como coadyuvante para la remoción de cálculo dental: investigación in vitro
Most methods for the control of dental calculus involve the use of chemical type adjuvants for the removal of dental calculus. Summary: | Most methods for the control of dental calculus involve the use of chemical type adjuvants for the removal of dental calculus. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Pluronic F-127 Thermosensitive Gel based on a vegetable matrix (papaya) and L-arginine as an adjuvant for the removal of dental calculus. Materials and Methods: The present investigation is presented as an in-depth study of experimental character in vitro to 45 dental pieces, which were distributed in three groups according to concentrations of 10%, 20% and 30% of Pluronic F-127 Gel, Larginine and papain pulp. Results: The 30% concentration (E3) showed greater effectiveness in the exposure times of the teeth, achieving total removal of the calculus after 60 minutes. Conclusions: The use of Pluronic. Papain and L-arginine in concentrations whose ratio is 6 gr Pluronic + 30 % pulp paine (30 gr) + l-arginine (0.5 gr), is effective as a coadjuvant agent for the removal of dental calculus. |
