The method used was qualitative, with an exploratory scope and also a phenomenological design. The results indicated that teachers perceive the PBL as a strategy that promotes significant learning and encourages the formation of students, which is because it becomes an ally to strengthen skills especially the creative ones.El presente artículo es el resultado de un estudio investigativo realizado en la ciudad de Bogotá a un grupo de 14 maestros, con el propósito conocer las percepciones que estos tienen sobre el fortalecimiento de las competencias de pensamiento creativo a partir de la estrategia del aprendizaje basado en problemas (ABP). El método que se utilizó en su desarrollo fue el cualitativo, con un alcance exploratorio y un diseño fenomenológico.
