Description
Summary:The purpose of this study was to know the pedagogical strategies that teachers implement in their class sessions, to achieve the willingness of students in the learning process, of the first grade, children of the educational institutions participating in the project. To achieve this goal, the case study methodology was used within the qualitative paradigm. Three teachers belonging to educational institutions from different sectors of the Valle de Aburrá participated and in each of the contexts the techniques of non-participating observation and open standardized interview were applied. The overall results were organized into three main categories: pedagogical strategies, pedagogical practices and learning activities, which in turn included key subcategories for the analysis and compilation of results. Research findings suggest teaching-learning processes that need to have variability to improve student disposition; it is essential to implement in the planning a combination of methodologies and resources, as well as from a characterization of students for the development of a process focused on the special demands of the group. It is essential that teachers and institutions implement a permanent self-assessment process, on the application of pedagogical practices in the classroom, which is similarly the basis for a process of continuous improvement, with notorious contributions to the strengthening of pedagogical strategies for a timely disposition of students. Moving forward in this regard requires an effort of the entire academic community, it is very significantthe support of the directives for that.
