Description
Summary:Companies must align organizational goals with personal ones, promoting them in the same direction and making that the results that they obtain are the ones they expect. To achieve this aim, it´s necessary to manage diversity, understanding that in the organizations converge different generational groups that differ in expectations and needs. These differences make that those groups contribute in different ways to the business purposes, and therefore it demands to recognize and put at the service of the organization the experience and knowledge of Baby boomers and Generation X, and take advantage of other Millennials competitions, which will contribute to the best performance and organizational climate, and will allow us to propose strategies for the welfare and quality of life of human talent. This descriptive study emerges as an answer to the above and it´s made through the analysis of quantitative variables, whose purpose is to characterize the generational groups that was working at CHEC in 2016, based on the identification and analysis of sociodemographic and labor variables of the sample. This is going to allow to have a baseline for the different processes of human management, that can take it as a reference to develop strategies that consider the differentiating characteristics of their talent. To make the description, sociodemographic variables and labor variables were defined, taken from different studies that were used as the input for the construction of the instrument to be applied to a sample of 241 workers from the different generational groups; which allowed the characterization and identification of coincidences and differences between them. The results allowed to identify that, although there are different perspectives between the generational groups, there are few significant differences, since the behavior of the variables is similar.
