Abstract: Analysis of the contents on assertive communication and pedagogy of the undergraduate programs of education and social communication of the universities of the city of Pereira that leads to establishing its importance in the training of professionals in both branches, through a methodology with a focus qualitative that included the characterization of the contents, the contrast of the characterized information and the perception of students and professionals of the areas under study through the development of interviews with open questions and focus groups, allowing evidence of the need to include pedagogy bases in the formation of social communicators and the foundations of assertive communication in teachers, educators and pedagogues.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
