Este trabajo de investigación describe como el uso de las actividades de calentamiento promueven la atención y la motivación en una clase de Inglés como lengua extranjera. Se seleccionaron 69 estudiantes de una escuela publica en el sector rural de Rionegro. La recolección de datos se hizo a través de entrevistas a los profesores de la institución, observaciones y a los estudiantes se les realizó un cuestionario. Se realizaron dos observaciones no participantes, se hace una investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa para analizar la información obtenida y mostrar en los resultados y las conclusiones que la complementación de las actividades de calentamiento en las clases de inglés tiene un impacto positivo . Se evidenció que los estudiantes trabajaron con mas disposición y atención en las tareas que se les pedía luego de que la actividad de calentamiento fuera implementada |

Se evidenció que los estudiantes trabajaron con mas disposición y atención en las tareas que se les pedía luego de que la actividad de calentamiento fuera implementadaThis research project aimed to describe the use of warm-up activities to promote students’ attention and motivation in an EFL classroom, sixty-nine students from a public rural institution in Rionegro Antioquia from the eighth grade were selected as the sample population. Data was collected through teachers interviews, observation and surveys for students. Two non-participant observations were carried without affecting the description of the real context. Qualitative and quantitative research were used to analyze the gathered information and show results and conclusions demonstrating that the use of warm-up activities had a positive impact in English classes.
