Summary:This paper presents a learning experience where children inspired teachers to transform the school. The strategy seeks to empower early childhood as constructor of learning in order to develop communication, mathematics, and citizenship skills; to strengthen family relationships, and to recover environmental culture. It emerged from the reading of the story of The Adventures of Pinocchio, which now is alive in each member of the school community, who are willing to become protagonists of their own stories.
