The participants in the study were an English teacher and her eight graders from a private institution. Each extract was analyzed carefully taking into account the conversational analysis approach. The findings revealed that during the interaction between the teacher and the students and in the dynamic of questions and answers, it is more common to find that the teacher is the one in charge of starting the conversation and initiating the adjacency pairs.application/pdfspaspaUniversidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombiahttps://revistas.uptc.edu.co/index.php/enletawa_journal/article/view/5433/4503Copyright (c) 2016 ENLETAWA JOURNALhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Enletawa Journal; Vol. 8 No. 2 (2015): July, DecemberEnletawa Journal; Vol. 8 Núm. 2 (2015): July, December2463-19652011-835XConversationinteractionadjacency pairsaffiliative and disafilliative responsespre-allocation.Classroom Interaction: a Dynamics of Questions and Answersinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2df8fbb1Pineda Fagua, Julieth Paola001/16024oai:repositorio.uptc.edu.co:001/160242025-07-18 11:15:16.891metadata.onlyhttps://repositorio.uptc.edu.coRepositorio Institucional UPTCrepositorio.uptc@uptc.edu.co
