We also compare six sigmas with a former quality models: total qualitymanagement.Seis sigmas es una nueva técnica de gestión de la calidad que ha incursionadofuertemente en Norteamérica y Europa, cuya finalidad es alcanzarcero defectos en los procesos de producción y servicio de las organizacionesempleando herramientas avanzadas de estadísticas y liderazgo de grupo.En este artículo se evaluarán sus nuevos métodos, antes de que se pongade moda en el país, con el objetivo de tomar las precauciones debidas para suexitosa aplicación. Y analizarán las fortalezas y debilidades que presenta. Seexplora la ventaja competitiva que las empresas alcanzarían con una correctaimplantación de esta herramienta y las dificultades que suelen encontrar lasempresas.
