In the hotel business there is a big interactionwith consumers and they become a critical source of information in orderto innovate which is reflected in the SCA. In this kind of businesses theconsumers value the intangible actions that are provided by the marketingcapabilities.El propósito de este artículo es analizar cómo la capacidad emprendedora,la capacidad de mercadotecnia y la innovación organizacionallogran proporcionar a las PyMEs una ventaja competitiva sostenible (VCS).Se encuestó a 49 administradores de hoteles en los estados de Oaxaca yPuebla (México). En los resultados, la capacidad de mercadotecnia serelaciona fuertemente con la innovación organizacional y con la VCS.
