Description
Summary:This research project sought to implement literary reading as a tool to strengthen coexistence in the sector of Islita, for this, a proposal was applied with a qualitative approach, an explanatorydescriptive scope, with a design of action research, participation and narrative and a critical social paradigm. The population of the study consisted of twenty children ranging from 3 to 8 years of age, all residents in the small island sector of Barranquilla Colombia. In the first stage a diagnosis was made based on the application of a survey that allowed to know the perception of the parents about the inappropriate behaviors of their children, in the same way when interacting in the context, situations were observed that reflect the treatment that the children receive. Children in their family and social environment. During the II stage, intervention cycles were designed through which activities based on literary reading were implemented with the intention of creating an environment conducive to research and then generating changes in the population under study. The implementation of the proposal was satisfactory when comparing the initial survey with the final observation since it was observed great changes in the individual and group behaviors of the children, showing also manifestations of solidarity, cooperation and affection. This research invites teachers and / or mediators to use literary reading as a potential tool to generate or awaken in children the interest and motivation that leads to better coexistence and develop habits and values for a better integration within the family and society
