Description
Summary:The present research work entitled "Pedagogical Strategies to Strengthen Teaching Practice through Universal Design for Learning" focuses on exploring teachers' perception of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the pedagogical strategies derived from this approach, with the aim of strengthening teaching practice at the preschool and first-grade levels of the IED Evardo Turizo Palencia, in Barranquilla, Atlántico. The research was conduct from a qualitative methodological approach, with an action research design. Data were collect using semi structured interviews with seven teachers, who represent the entire studied population. Subsequently, a categorical analysis was performed by a content analysis, from which three categories and thirteen subcategories of analysis emerged. The results indicated that the pedagogical strategy identified by teachers is flexibility; however, they did not link it to UDL despite it providing guidelines and bases for designing through flexibility using its principles. These findings were share with the participating teachers. This research work was conducted by Nataly Quintero Fernandez* and Sirledy Guzmán Escobar** to obtain a master’s degree in Neuropsychopedagogy from the Universidad de la Costa CUC, in the city of Barranquilla, in 2024
