Summary:This research is carried out in the island of San Andrés, it offers pertinent information on the level of incorporation of the ethnic root component in the class curriculum applied by teachers of the social sciences subject for tenth grade of the Colombian education system, blending this curriculum with the use of information and communication technologies as a tool or element that enhance student learning. It was developed in a public educational institution and a private institution as well. It has been possible to establish that in some cases some teachers approach certain topics corresponding to the ethnic root component, but there is no planning that includes it in the subject, so it would be necessary to have a planning model that transcends the simple process of information about ethnicity, which allows guaranteeing an effective and pertinent teaching-learning process on the history, culture and ancestral heritage of the Raizal, even better if its development is carried out under the mediation of ICT
