Educación ambiental: perspectiva crítica en el modelo universitario de Colombia

This essay explores the state of the art of the environmental relevance of the Colombian university from a perspective that converges on social participation. The analysis was based on a statement of the epistemological, theoretical and con-ceptual relationships of the actors of the Colombian educational process, to exer-cise a critical stance in the construction of environmental knowledge and com-mitments of the universities. In recent years, environmental education at the ini-tiative of ASCUN has taken on relevance and interest, showing growth in training programs, research and social projection in the matter, in addition to contribu-tions to the fulfillment of the SDG of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, however, it is not keeping pace with global de-mands. The biggest challenge it faces is to create a model with an interdisciplinary approach capable of generating changes in the community, so that sustainability is a constant in the daily life of society.
