Description
Summary:The project entitled "Music as a pedagogical strategy in teaching and reading comprehension in the ninth grade of the Carmelo Educational Institution", was developed with the aim of solving the lack of motivation and interest in reading and understanding the texts well; young people show an attitude of low motivation and argue that the classes are not very dynamic. During the execution of this project, emphasis was placed on the importance of implementing music as a dynamic strategy to awaken interest, motivation and empower learning processes in young people, which strengthens the dimensions of development and empowers multiple intelligences, creativity, in addition to the great contribution it offers to the individual from all its areas of training. The reading of songs and their interpretation was encouraged. As a result, it was observed that the students were more motivated by the class, they worked more in teams, and they improved their reading comprehension remarkably since the results of the tests know of the year 2017, were more satisfactory.
