Description
Summary:The research on the implementation of the learning strategy of Gamification is the product of the reflection of the teaching group of the department of mathematics of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grades of the Third Mixed I.E.D of the municipality of Fundación - Magdalena, as a result of the problems of student performance in the area of mathematic. Situation reflected in the Saber test reports (2015 - 2016) made by the ICFES (national) and IMMS tests, 2015 (international). This is an action research, its objective is to introduce an innovative methodology in the teachinglearning process to improve the academic performance of the students of the institution. The sample: six teachers from the area of mathematics. The methodology used is Gamification learning strategy for learning mathematics with the support of the Smartick platform. Its development was made in several stages: initially, a diagnostic phase consisting of a theoretical review of the research category: academic performance and gamification; In addition, the use of a series of surveys applied to teachers and students and the review of academic reports were the basis of the collection. In this context, six workshops were developed in order to prepare teachers to implement the strategy in classrooms; at the end the group evaluates the results obtained and the relevance of the strategy, the main conclusions of the study revolve around the varied uses of strategies that allow to capture the attention of the students, monitor the explicit motivations so that it does not affect the work of the classroom and the main thing to have fun together with the students.
