Summary: | The purpose of this research project is to develop a methodology for the design and creation of 30 MOOCs based on gamification and m-learning for the training of university teachers in the department of Antioquia, arises as a result of participation in a call funded by Colciencias and the Government of the Department of Antioquia through a R + D + I project for teacher training in missionary functions through MOOC. A work team made up of researchers, consultants, thematic experts, software developers, instructional designers, graphic designers, and multimedia support staff was formed. The methodology worked consists of 4 phases: Characterization of the teacher's training needs in the missionary functions of teaching, research, extension and academic management; MOOC instructional design; development of educational digital content and assembly of courses on an EDUPROFE technology platform for MOOCs. We worked under a parallel convergent mixed approach, with descriptive exploratory notions, of non-experimental design, and an operationalization of a matrix of variables such as gamification and m-learning techniques, and the training of university teachers with MOOCs, and their respective dimensions. From a population of 24 766 teachers, a sample of 199 teachers from 22 Higher Education Institutions in the department of Antioquia was intentionally selected. The data was collected through a questionnaire validated by five (05) experts, with a confidence level (Z) established for the survey, of Z = 0.99 (99%) and submitted to the Kuder Richarson test with a reliability of 0.84. Digital ethnography was also used as surveillance technology of methodologies used for the design and development of MOOCs in the national and international order. The results of the investigation specify that 79.4% of the teachers surveyed in the department of Antioquia work as a teacher, 16.1% are research teachers, 4.5% carry out extension and internationalization tasks. Similarly, it is verified that by implementing a methodology for the design and creation of MOOCs, it is possible to improve the speed of creation of courses and improve the quality of MOOCs. |
