Summary: | The incorporation of TIC in learning and the implementation of the blog as a didactic strategy have been fundamental tools that have changed the motivation of students, facilitating teaching- learning in an innovative and enriching way, thus obtaining the best results in their knowledge demonstrated in the elaboration of the different activities, themes and good academic performance during the development of the classes. The purpose of this research was to develop a didactic strategy mediated by the blog for the improvement of the teaching-learning process of the English language in sixth grade students of the Institución Educativa Técnica Microempresarial de Soledad - Atlántico. It was structured under a mixed approach, with a quasi-experimental design with two experimental and control groups, applying a pre-test and post-test, to assess the level of knowledge in speaking, learning and writing skills. A survey of teachers was used as instruments to identify the use of computer applications for the teaching - learning process in the English area. The results show that the implementation and use of the blog as a didactic strategy contributed to the improvement of the teaching-learning process of the English language, which was evident in each of the competencies; listening had no variation with a standard percentage of 85%, speaking went from 74% to 96.3% and finally writing with a variation range of 74% to 96.3%. It is concluded that the educational blog as a didactic tool contributes to the development of competencies in students during a process of teaching and learning English as a foreign language, improving grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening. |
