Summary: | The present research aims to study to strengthen solid waste management in the Colombian meat industry by preparing a proposal for use according to the characteristics of the waste generated in the different areas (organic, industrial and useable waste), in addition, it is includes a table of strategies in which the environmental, social and economic sector is detailed, in order to determine the viability of each proposed strategy, likewise, the different processes, activities and characteristics of three strategically chosen meat companies are analyzed which They are: Colbeef (national leader), Camagüey (departmental leader), Frigorifico Santa Cruz (Municipal leader), an environmental diagnosis is carried out through the collection of information and visits to companies, Benchmarking and SWOT analysis, in this way to know the problems of each company regarding waste management and possible solutions are proposed in order to mitigate the environmental impacts caused, proposing to the companies a standardized model that allows evaluating the effectiveness of the project through indicators. |
