Summary:Faced with the challenges posed by society in the educational field, the evaluative practices from the didactic mediation processes are constituted as benchmarks for student learning and improvement of educational quality. From this perspective, the purpose of the research is to design a proposal of evaluative practice based on a corps of instruments that contribute to the strengthening of student academic performance and educational quality, based on a deductive rationalist approach and complementary mixed paradigm through a quantitative design developed in three stages: theoretical, field and purpose. The unit of analysis is represented by teachers at the primary basic level, who are worked through techniques such as observation, survey and documentary analysis. The results show a lack of knowledge regarding the structured and executed planning of a coherent, relevant, and effective evaluation process that contributes to increase the students’ performance competencies. From this point of view, the best contextualized evaluation practices as formative processes guide and transform the educational and pedagogical practice, which is reflected in the improvement of the learning and the educational quality.
