Summary:The purpose of this document is the effective conceptual design of the process for obtaining natural dye with carotenoids and grana cochineal (Dactylopius Coccus), with which it was sought to implement different tools associated with its characterization, applying an experimental methodology of a qualitative nature. It was possible to implement different methods related to the creation process from the raw material to the finished product. This work focuses on the determination of the conceptual design of obtaining carmine extracted from grana cochineal and, in turn, the extraction of β-carotene extracted from carrot, to obtain a natural textile dye based on these components. Different methods and extraction processes are studied taking into account that the design of a pilot plant for said dye is proposed; for which the extraction is raised on an industrial scale.
