Summary: | In this document, I review and analyze the aptitudes of corn starch and alum as a coagulant and the application of these to a spring water with a high concentration of total iron. Chapter 1 introduces the topic under study; Chapter 2 describes the objectives of the study; Chapter 3 includes some background; Chapter 4 presents the basic concepts required for the study; Chapter 5 presents the methodology used in the analyzes; Chapter 6 shows the results of each of the physical-chemical and treatability tests carried out; in chapter 7 the analysis of the results of iron removal obtained by each of the methods used is made. Finally, in chapter 8, the conclusions drawn from the study are presented. |
