description El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar las oportunidades que tiene la quínoa colombiana en el mercado de la Unión Europea, para alcanzar este propósito la investigación se apoyó en el marco teórico de la teoría de desarrollo sostenible y la integración económica, igualmente, se aplicó la metodología de investigación documental que permitió realizar un análisis sobre la caracterización de la quínoa en Colombia y examinar las oportunidades que tiene la quínoa en el mercado de la Unión europea. La investigación concluyo que teniendo en cuenta las propiedades alimenticias que tiene este súper alimento puede posicionarse en el mercado de la Unión europea, debido a las oportunidades que le brinda el acuerdo comercial entre Colombia y la UE que acordó un arancel del 0% a las exportaciones de quínoa y además, el comportamiento de los consumidores europeos que preocupados por mejorar y mantener su salud tienen una alta demanda de productos orgánicos, situación que debe ser aprovechada por el empresario colombiano de la quínoa para penetrar en ese mercado internacional.
