El investigador de la presente investigación encontró que en Colombia existen políticas dirigidas al sector turístico con el fin de promover el desarrollo en zonas agrícolas del país, pero dichas políticas han impedido su correcto funcionamiento debido a que no profundizan la problemática de la población destino. Lo anterior ha evidenciado desarticulación entre los entes gubernamentales y la población rural, lo que ha producido la necesidad de crear una estrategia de fortalecimiento para los agricultores de San Sebastián de Mariquita, Tolima, haciendo así que el agroecoturismo tome protagonismo de alto nivel permitiendo fortalecer sectores productivos, económicos, social y humano. El objetivo principal de este proyecto, es la elaboración de un producto agroecoturístico en el municipio de San Sebastián de Mariquita, buscando como resultado que la comunidad receptora por medio de este pueda generar ingresos económicos extra al de sus actividades diarias. Debido a la riqueza agropecuaria que posee el municipio, se toma como eje esta actividad económica como factor clave del proyecto. Es por esto que mediante la creación de esta nueva alternativa se busca la potencialización del sector turismo dentro del municipio y así mismo San Sebastián de Mariquita se posicione como el primer renglón de la actividad turística del departamento de Tolima |
