El cuero vegetal se ha convertido en una tendencia y en una alternativa para dejar a un lado el cuero de curtiembres y cueros sintéticos que son fabricados mediante procesos nocivos para el medio ambiente El cuero vegetal se ha catalogado en los últimos años como la mejor opción para los amantes del cuero ya que éste es producido a partir de distintos componentes y desechos naturales de las siembras. En el desarrollo de esta investigación se empleó la metodología cualitativa-descriptiva, a partir de datos sobre producción y estadísticas que permitieron conocer la viabilidad de exportar cuero vegetal colombiano hecho de fibra de hoja de piña hacia el mercado italiano. El cuero vegetal hecho de fibra de hoja de piña emerge como una gran oportunidad de comercialización para Colombia hacia Italia, gracias a la alta producción de piña que hay en el territorio nacional, De igual forma esta actividad ayudará a crear nuevos empleos a la población campesina en los cultivos de piña. El nicho de mercado italiano es el más acertado ya que a la población de ese país le interesa la compra de materias primas eco-amigables. De otro lado, pese a que ese país es fuerte en la exportación de cuero también debe importar gran cantidad de este producto con el fin de suplir la demanda. Colombia puede aprovechar sus ventajas climatológicas, demográficas y de mano de obra para dar a conocer en los mercados internacionales un cuero vegetal de alta calidad |
